MOUNT OLIVE --Rachel Lee Kornegay Pate, 75, of 596 Bennett's Bridge Road in the Scott's Store community, died Sunday night at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Albertson Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will be in the Pate Family Cemetery at the home.

Mrs. Pate was a homemaker and farmer's wife. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and its Relief Society.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Peggy Pate and Mark and Patricia Pate, all of Mount Olive; a daughter and son-in-law, Tamra Pate Lytch and Allen Lytch of Clayton; three brothers, Jesse Bell, Kenneth Bell and Thurston Bell, all of Mount Olive; 10 grandchildren, Dawn Hargrove Powell, Snow Pate Heath, Chris Pate, Latisha Pate Starke, Leah Pate Wiggins, Crystal Westbrook, Jennifer Westbrook, Cassie Pate, Shane Arnette, and Jason Arnette; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clayton Pate; her mother, Haidee Blizzard Kornegay Bell; her father, Kirby Kornegay; a son, Jeffrey Dean Pate; a daughter, Lynette Pate Hargrove; a grandson, Shawn Hargrove; and two brothers, Chester Kornegay and Horace Kornegay.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home from 7 until 9 tonight, and at other times at the residence.
