BENNIE THOMPSON

Bennie E. Thompson, 67, of Princeton, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

Born Sept. 3, 1938, to the late Marvin and Blanche Stuckey Thompson, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara House Thompson, and son, Eddie Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was a retired farmer and a retired employee of DuPont of Kinston. A United States Navy veteran, he was active in the Pine Level American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Smithfield Moose Lodge.

The funeral was held at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton on Friday, Nov. 18, with the Rev. Josh Williamson officiating. Burial was in Princeton Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his daughters, Cynthia T. Foster and husband, Mark, Becky T. King and husband, Scott of Princeton; one granddaughter, Sierra King of Princeton; one brother, Mike Thompson of Princeton; and two sisters, Connie McCullen and Myra Johnson of Princeton.
