RICHARD NORRIS

Richard E. Norris was born Feb. 6, 1918, in Steelton, Pa., to William P. and Mary Murphy Norris.

He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Co., Steelton, Pa., during World War II. He became a Field Represen-tative for Harrisburg Millers Mutual Ins. Co., Harrisburg, Pa. Later he became a Field Representative for Pennsyl-vania Millers Co., Wilkes-Barre, Pa., from which he was retired in 1984 after working in the state of Virginia and later in New Hampshire. He is a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, New Bern, as well as Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis R. Norris.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Huber Norris; a son, Rev. Thomas P. Norris, OSFS of Goldsboro; a sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Robert Stachovic of Creal Springs, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Henry S. Huber of New Cumberland, Pa.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Goldsboro on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. Interment will be at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Ste. 220, Raleigh, N.C., 27605-1351; or to St. Paul Catholic Church, 3005 Country Club Road, New Bern, N.C., 28562.
