JEAN BRYANT

Jean White Bryant, of 102 Doris Drive, died Tuesday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Howell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Elbert Reeves will officiate. Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Bryant was born in Jefferson County, Oklahoma, to the late Walter White and Vodie Steele White. She was a member of New Hope Road Church of God, where she served was a former Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by two sons, Nicholas "Nick" Bryant and his wife, Pam, of Kinston and Billy Bryant and his wife, Debbie, of Raleigh; three sisters, June Martin, Edith Sparks and Lucy Graham of Texas; two grandchildren, Jason Bryant and Will Bryant; two step-grandchildren, Amanda Turner and Tabitha Shipley; and one step-grandson, Ray Shipley; and a special friend, Earl Pike.

In addition to his parents, Mrs. Bryant is preceded in death by her husband, Billie Joe Bryant.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro and other times at the residence.
