FAISON -- Joe J. Bass, 70, died Saturday at his home at 682 Emmett Jackson Road.
A graveside service was held today at 11 a.m. at Faison Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Scott officiating.
Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Pearl Jackson Bass, and a son, Joeby Bass.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Hoagland Bass; two sons, Mark Bass and his wife, Rhonda, of Faison and Steve Bass and his wife, Hilda, of Clinton; one daughter, Pam Bass of Clinton; two sisters, Julia Fields of Mount Olive and Portia Anderson of Faison; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joeby Bass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
