CARLTON WADSWORTH

Died Oct. 30, 2005

CLINTON -- The funeral for Carlton J. Wadsworth, 78, will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Plainview Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Farrell Miller and Jerry Miller will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Clinton City Cemetery.

Mr. Wadsworth was a native of Wayne County and a former resident of Clinton. He was the son of the late Daniel Henry Wadsworth and Veleura Hollowell Wadsworth. He served in the United States Army and retired from Southern Bell as an equipment technician. He attended Johnson Baptist church of Warsaw and was a member of Telephone Pioneers and American Legion Post #297.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Beck Wadsworth of the home; one daughter, Doris McArthur of Clinton; one sister, Mathilda W. Ogburn of Angier; and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and other times at the home of Doris and Johnny McArthur, 3823 Mt. Moriah Church Road, Clinton.
