Sue Wooten Bottoms, 61, of 303 W. Washington St., died Saturday, October 22, 2005, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Sue was born in Johnston County to the late Edwin B. Wooten Jr. and Hazel Woodard Wooten. Sue received her Masters in Education from East Carolina University and taught children for 33 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Morehead City, where she sang in the choir along with assisting in Bible School and Music Camp. Sue had a great love of animals, nature, kids, music and the beach.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday from Rouse Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Havlicek officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Sue is survived by her husband of 12 years, Thomas Bottoms; two step-children, Tommy Bottoms of Rocky Mount, and Karen Bottoms Gaither and husband, Keith, of Rocky Mount; brother, Charles Wooten and wife, Judy, of Virginia Beach; two step-grandchildren, Lauren Gaither and Caitlin Gaither; three nieces, Genna Sue Carter and husband, Britt, and children, Grayson, Gavin and Savannah of Greensboro, Erin Hughes and husband, David,, and son, Jackson Hughes of Virginia Beach, and Rachel Wooten of Virginia Beach.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times, they will be at the home.

Memorials may be made to your local Disabled American Veterans Association orAmerican Humane Society.

Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
