Steve Lee Herring, 46, of 1858 N. 120 Drive Avondale, Ariz., formally of Duplin County, died Thursday at West Valley Hospital Phoenix Ariz.
He was the son of Jessie and Annie Grace Herring. He graduated from James Kenan High School 1977, and was a 21-year Retiree from the U.S. Army.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today at Warsaw Middle School, 738 S. College St., Warsaw. Pastor Patricia Williams will officiate. Burial will be at Herring Cemetery 1121 Bowden Road, Kenansville.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Grace Herring of Warsaw; father, Jesse Herring of Kenansville; children, Jessica Herrring of Baltimore, Md., Angela Herring of California and Marco McGee of Greensboro; grandmother, Annie Laura Cooper of Warsaw; two sisters, Judy Lowe of Warsaw and Brenda Dyson of Warsaw; four brothers, Jesse Herring of Warsaw, Ward Herring, Ricky Herring and Michael Herring all of Raleigh; and one grandson.
