GERALDINE MCDONALD

CHARLOTTE -- Geraldine McDonald, 83, sister of Joe Ben Sauls and Donald Sauls of Goldsboro, died Tuesday at Cypress Point Nursing Home.
She was formerly of Charlotte and the funeral will be held there on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald was a native of Greene County and was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Ethel Taylor Sauls. She was the widow of William D. McDonald Sr. and was a member of Indian Trail Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her brothers, she is survived by one son, William Douglas McDonald Jr. of Charlotte; two daughters, Mary Moore of Charlotte and Sandra McDonald of Wilmington; another brother, Howard Sauls of Raleigh; two sisters, Gaynelle Kennedy of Kinston and Marie Allen of Raleigh; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
