MOUNT OLIVE -- Sudie Kornegay Creech, 85, died early today at SunBridge Care Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Pate Cemetery.
Mrs. Creech was the daughter of the late Richard Allen and Sudie Taylor Kornegay. She was the widow of Carl Lee Creech and was a retired homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Minnie Pearl Wilkins, and her husband, O'Berry Wilkins, of Mount Olive; three sons, Robert Junior Creech and his wife, Vickie S. Creech, of Mount Olive, Kenneth Ray Creech of Goldsboro, and Bobby Earl Creech of Kenansville; a brother, Major Kornegay of Magnolia; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wilbert Lee Creech, and a daughter, Kathleen Creech.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday night from 7 until 9 at Tyndall Funeral Home, and other times at the home of O'Berry and Minnie Pearl Wilkins, 349 Buck Hill Road, Mount Olive.
