HATTIE S. GINN

SNOW HILL -- Hattie Smith Ginn, 92, of 817 Ginn Road, died Thursday at her residence.

The funeral was held Saturday night at 7 in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service, with the Rev. Larry Turlington and Rev. Jerry Andrews officiating. Committal services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Ginn was a native of Greene County and was the daughter of the late William and Lillie Aswell Smith. She was a member of Fort Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ginn; one son, Edsel Ginn; and her siblings, Laura Ellen Pope, Raymond Smith, Alton Smith, Melvin Smith, Otis Smith and Ora Lee Mozingo.

Her surviving family includes her daughter-in-law, Della Ginn Jones and husband, Bill, of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Patricia G. Taylor and husband, Horace, Linda G. Newcomb and husband, Sam, and Mike Ginn and wife ,Wanda, all of Snow Hill; great-grandchildren, Rodney Taylor and wife ,Kristen, Leigh Ann Taylor, Wesley Newcomb, Rita Manning and husband, Derek, Wayne Ginn and Jody Cherry, all of Snow Hill; a great-great-grandson, Zachary Paul Taylor; and a brother, Carson Smith of Goldsboro.

The family received friends on Saturday following the service and other times at the residence.
