Dorothy H. Germain, 80, died Saturday morning at her home.
Mrs. Germain was born in Worcester, Mass., on Dec. 22, 1924, to the late Dennis Haggerty and Mary Halloran Haggerty. She was married to the late Raymond Russell Germain. Mrs. Germain was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church and had served in the United States Army during World War II.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., presiding.
Mrs. Germain is survived by her son, Mitchell Young of Hardin, Texas; and her grandchildren, LeAnn Young of Goldsboro, Joshua Young of Texas and Kelly Young of Texas. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Patsy C. Young of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Young.
The family will greet friends following the graveside service at her residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic School, 1601 Edgerton St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
