WARSAW -- The funeral for Adell Hatchell Edwards, 87, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Interment will be at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha.

She died Wednesday at her home.

A lifetime resident of Duplin County, she attended Grace Covenant and has served with the Vista Volunteers Program. She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. Hatchell and Ruth Edwards Hatchell; her husband, Norman Edwards; one brother, Raeford Gordon Hatchell; and one sister, Betty Hatchell Starns.

She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Edwards Reynolds of Warsaw, Janet Edwards Stuart of Sunset Beach and Shirley Edwards Erickson of Hot Springs, Ark.; two brothers, Durwood Hatchell of Monroe and Norman Ellis Hatchell of Delway; four sisters, Ozell Hatchell Wells of Teachey, Mina Hatchell Baker of Rose Hill, Mary Katherine Hatchell Finch of Wilmington and Ruth Hatchell Phillips of Charlotte; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 until 9 at Community Funeral Home, and other times at the residence at Village Place in Warsaw.
