ANTONIO RIVERA GALVAN

Antonio Rivera Galvan, 34, of 102 Jason Court, died Saturday in Oak Grove, S.C.

Born in Guanajuato, Mexico, he was the son of Trinidad Galvan Sanchez of Guanajuato, Mexico, and the late Antonio Rivera Estrada. He was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mount Olive, where he served as 1st Councilor in the Branch Presidency.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Shirley Rivera; two daughters, Cristan Rivera and Amy Rivera of the home; four brothers, Enrique Rivera and Ruben Monzon of Mexico, Ernesto Rivera Galvan and Gustavo Rivera Galvan of Goldsboro; and three sisters, Ana Maria Rivera, Maria Teresa Rivera and Maricela Rivera of Mexico.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mount Olive. Branch President Marcus Merida and Bishop Richard Brown will preside. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
