The funeral for James Strickland, of 378 Kelly Springs Road, Mount Olive, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Congregational United Church of Christ. Dr. Harold Daniels will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Charlotte Strickland of the home; one son, Gerald (Gloria) Strickland of Mount Olive; daughter, Doreatha Strickland of Raleigh; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be today from 1 until 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
