Benjamin Franklin Barwick, 65, died Wednesday at his sister's home on Sleepy Creek Road.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Dorman officiating. Burial will be in the Holmes Family Cemetery on Indian Springs Road.

Mr. Barwick was born in Wayne County on Dec. 30, 1939, to Pauline Casey Barwick Haire of Dudley and the late Davis Gordon Barwick Sr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Jean B. Chase of Dudley and Virginia B. Holmes of LaGrange; one brother, William Sutton Barwick of Lawton, Okla., two sons, Carl Benjamin Barwick of Goldsboro and Brian Walton Barwick of Rocky Mount; one daughter, Jennifer Barwick Baxley of Arkansas; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jean Chase, 724 Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley
