KENLY -- William E. Cockrell, 74, of 403 E. Goldsboro St., died Thursday.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Kenly Church of God. Visitation will follow. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. today in the Kenly Cemetery. The Reverends Jerry Andrews and Tim Hooks will officiate.
Mr. Cockrell was clerk of the Kenly Church of God for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley G. Cockrell; daughters, Pamela Cockrell of Kenly, and Connie Creech of Selma; a son, William Roger Cockrell of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Jennifer Creech, Jessica Cockrell, and Grace Lee.
