GERTRUDE HOBBS

Gertrude "Sis" Hobbs, 78, of 904 S. Franklin St., died Thursday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was retired from O'Berry Center and was a member at First African Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at First African Baptist Church, 803 Harris St. The Rev. Louis Leigh will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Hobbs of New York, N.Y.; a son, Eugene Hobbs of Goldsboro; a sister, Carrie Hobbs-Dickens of Goldsboro; and a brother, Floyd Hobbs of Goldsboro; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Monday from 3 until 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
