A private funeral for the Rev. Neva McEachern, 88, of 803 Pittman St., was held by the graveside on Thursday morning at Old Mill Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
Surviving are four sons, Oscar McEachern of Mitchellville, Md., Larry McEachern of Goldsboro, Nuradeen Haseeb of Raleigh, and Yusuf Haseeb of Herndon, Va.; and three sisters, Janie Carmichael and Inez Carmichael of Goldsboro and Clara Summers of Washington, D.C.
