EVELENA ARMWOOD

The funeral for Evelena "Evelyn" Armwood, 89, of Washington, D.C., will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Church of Christ in Kenner. The Rev. James Hardy will officiate. Burial will be in the Cobbs Cemetery in Faison.
She was the daughter of the late Willie King and Elsie Pickett.
Surviving are six daughters, Teresa Armwood of Clinton, Shirley Armwood and Hepsie Armwood of Faison, and Frances Carter and Berneatha Armwood and Pamela Armwood of Washington, D.C.; seven sons, William Armwood, Wiley Armwood Jr., Larry Armwood, Foster Armwood and Theodore Armwood of Washington, D.C., Almond Armwood of Fort Fisher, Md., and Ash Armwood of Faison; and 25 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 6 today at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at the home of Teresa Armwood, 1535 Auctioneer Road, Clinton.
