Celia Crumpler Wade, 79, of 655 Stoney Creek Church Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The Rev. Ira Williford and Pastor Tony Lee will officiate. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Crumpler Family Cemetery on Stoney Creek Church Road.

Mrs. Wade was born in Wayne County to the late David Crumpler and Maggie Howell Crumpler. She was a charter member of United In Christ Church in Goldsboro.

Her survivors include one son, Dwight Wade, and his wife, Ronnie, of Goldsboro; one daughter, Cindy Blevins, and her husband, John, of Goldsboro; two sisters, Martha Biscontini of Pennsylvania and Katie Jones of Swansboro; a son-in-law, Buddy King of Goldsboro; a daughter-in-law, Sue Wade of Goldsboro; six grandchildren, Pam Lee, Brad Wade, Sherri Cannon, Brandy Talton, Josh King and Jennifer Blevins; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson Wade; one son, Roger Wade; one daughter, Linda King; two brothers, Thomas Crumpler and Waitus Crumpler; and three sisters, Dovie McKeel, Dora Coley and Mildred Crumpler.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight, and other times at the residence.
