Jimmie Howell Garner, 62, died Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Garner was born June 20, 1943, to the late Willie Thomas Garner and wife, Fannie Rogers Garner, of Duplin County.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Norris Garner of Warsaw; two daughters, Stephanie Christner of Fayetteville, and Michelle Harris of Ft. Bragg; one step-daughter, Robin Newmann of Hilton Head, S.C.; two step-sons, Randy Wood and Craig Wood, both of Clayton; three grandsons, Gabrielle Folker, Tyler Schaub; one step-granddaughter, Allison Newmann; two step-grandsons, Dalton Wood and Davis Wood; two brothers, Nathan Garner of Warsaw and Tommy Garner of Clinton; three sisters, Lynette Garner Stancil of Wallace, Julia Garner Brinkley of Beulaville, and Susan Garner Taylor of Smithfield; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held from 7 until 9 p.m. Saturdayat the Community Funeral Home of Warsaw, 1654 Highway 24/50 E., Warsaw. Family and friends will be received at other times at the family's home in Warsaw.
