The funeral for Charles E. Philpot will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church of LaGrange. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery on Hwy. 903 with Pastor Harold O. Warren officiating.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Maricela E. Philpot of California; a son, Charles Warren Pearson of Washington D.C.; his mother, Helen Mae Philpot of LaGrange; a granddaughter; three stepdaughters, Lisa Bryant, Thenia Enriquez and Yolonda Newsome of California; three sisters, Carol Stevens and husband, Carlton, of Wilson and Vonda Ashford and husband, Steven, and Sonya Lewis and husband, James, of Goldsboro; four brothers, Denry Parks and wife, Verdis, of Columbus, Ga., Col. Charles Parks and wife, Kathy, of Yorkstown, Va., Curtis Lee Kornegay and wife, Deloise, of LaGrange and Ricky Davis of Goldsboro; his mother-in-law, Eva Enriquez of California; a brother-in-law, Albert Enriquez of California; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
