Kathleen Talton Sasser, 87, of the Nahunta community, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverends Timothy Creel and Bill Cotton officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Sasser was born in Johnston County and was the daughter of the late Jesse J. Talton and Mary Rhodes Talton of Princeton. She was married to the late Jasper "Jack" Sasser. She was a member of Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served the church and Sunday school in various capacities for many years. She was a homemaker and a retired State Employee of O'Berry Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Annette Sasser Talton and her husband, Marion, of Nahunta; sons, Glenn Sasser and wife, Maxine, of Rosewood, Harry Sasser and wife, Olga, of Kernersville and Larry Sasser and wife, Jeanette, of Nahunta; brother, Vernon Talton and wife, Julia, of Goldsboro; sister, Betsy Talton Clark and husband, Graham, of Goldsboro; a special nephew, Douglas Gurley of Nahunta; grandchildren, Shelly Talton Peele, Rusty Talton, Kelly Sasser Mitchell, Timothy Sasser, Stacie Sasser Fail, Sheree Sasser Millard, Leslie Sasser and Kevin Sasser; step-grandchildren, Paul Hernandez and Christine Harrell; great-grandchildren, Rusti Talton, Paige Ivey Peele, Michala Smith, Cody Mitchell, Melanie Sasser, Timmy Sasser and McKenzie Millard; step-great-grandchildren, Kelly Langston, Bridgette Harrell, Aaron Harrell, Alyssa Hernandez and Sophia Hernandez.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Talton Sasser; and brothers, Hoover Talton, Eugene Talton, J.B. Talton and Donald Talton.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Talton, Timothy Sasser, Kevin Sasser, Paul Hernandez, Lee Mitchell, and Douglas Gurley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Fellowship of Pikes Crossroads Church.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church, 969 Hwy. 581 North, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center of Pike's Crossroads Church following the service on Friday night and other times at the home of Larry and Jeanette Sasser, 201 Edgebrook Drive, Pikeville.
