NEWTON GROVE -- Marie M. Jernigan, 80, of 4747 Mount Olive Hwy., died Monday.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of West & Dunn Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Sandy will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Jernigan was the widow of James M. Jernigan and the daughter of the late Thomas and Lona Bennett McCullen.
She is survived by three daughters, Doris J. Blackman of Newton Grove, Rose J. McLamb of Clinton and Dibbie J. Edwards of Grantham; one son, Shelton Thompson of Clinton; one sister, Edna Hargrove of Clinton; one brother, John G. "Tenny" McCullen of Grantham; and 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at West & Dunn Funeral Home immediately following the service tonight.
