Henry Alva Rudisill, 23, of Goldsboro died Monday at home.

The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center. Pastor Joe Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

He was born in Wayne County to Warren Rudisill of Goldsboro and Lillie Rudisill of Goldsboro. He was an active member of Pinewood Volunteer Fire Department and received the Rookie of the Year award in 2002.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Renee Rudisill and Teresa LaRue Cisneros; his grandmother, Rachel Brown; one nephew, JR Potts; three nieces, Rachel A. Rudisill, Miranda R. Potts and Wynter L. Potts; and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center.

Flowers are welcome, however, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Pinewood Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 10841, Goldsboro, N.C., 27532.

Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home is serving the family.
