Sallie Lou Hunter Dail, 83, of Goldsboro and Beulaville, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Dail was born August 21, 1921, in Duplin County, and was the daughter of the late Johnny and Mary Ann Batchelor Hunter. She was a lifelong member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Dail.
She is survived by her children, J.E. Dail of Chinquapin, Jan Dail Jones of Wilmington, and Mira Dail Houston of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Hunter Pickett of Beulaville; two sisters-in-law; one niece, and three nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today at Bethel Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Greg Nethercutt will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dail Family Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Brooks Houston, Stephen R. Jones, Donald Scott Morgan, Joseph P. Bower, Cody McKinley Dixon, and Albert Ray Sauls.
The family received friends Saturday evening from 7 until 9 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.
