Samuel Edward Rutter, 75, of 713 Wood St., formerly of 358-A Edwards Store Road in Mount Olive, died Friday, Aug. 5.
A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the West & Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Newton Grove. The Reverends Frank Beasley, Jean Wilkins and Cleveland Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Phillips Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Winnie P. Rutter; one son, Bobby Ray Rutter of Mount Olive; one daughter, Wanda R. Hayes of Mount Olive; one sister, Frances Allen of Mount Olive; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 until 8.
