David Dee Lawhon, 71, died Friday evening at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
He was born in Johnston County Aug. 27, 1933, to the late Dossie Vaden and Viola Hayes Lawhon.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
