Dean Scott Daughtry, 39, of 305 Bridle Path Drive, died Thursday.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Dorothy Tyndall Person of Mount Olive and the late Hubert Lee Daughtry. He was the grandson of the late Louis and Elizabeth Tyndall.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Sauls will officiate. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Rees Daughtry; one son, Jason Dean Daughtry of the home; one daughter, Kristen Lee Daughtry of the home; one sister, Vicki Kidd of Mount Olive; his grandmother, Louise Capps of Smithfield; and his father-in-law Al and his wife, Donna Rees of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
