The funeral for Wilbert Lee Ward Sr., 78, of 905 Canal St., will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Ward died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Wall Ward; one son, Wilbert Ward Jr. of Goldsboro; two daughters, Mildred Erwin of Maryland and Valerie Ward Williams of Goldsboro; his mother, Nancy B. Ward; one sister, Beulah Kelly of Goldsboro; one brother, James Barnes of Goldsboro; and seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 8 today at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friend at the residence one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
