KATHERINE SAULS
Katherine McKeel Sauls, 80, a resident of Britthaven of Goldsboro, died Thursday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Ada Cox McKeel. She was a member of Eureka United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel of Wayne Memorial Park's Mausoleum. The Reverends Bill Cotton and Edsel Hooks will officiate.
Ms. Sauls is survived by a son, Jeffrey Glen Sauls of Whitakers; a daughter, Linda Kelly of Goldsboro; two brothers, Jarvis McKeel of Goldsboro, Melvin McKeel of Durham; three grandchildren, Paul Kelly and wife, Susan, Michael Sauls, Mac Sauls; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Kelley and Katelyn Kelly.
Family members received friends Saturday evening from 6:30 until 8 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and will other times at the home of her daughter, Linda Kelly, 535 Hwy. 13 S., Goldsboro.
