JOHN MUMFORD
John "Dick" Richard Mumford, 71, of 2011 E. Rose St., died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Mumford was born in Wayne County to the late Cecil and Belle Mumford and was married to Aliene Garris Mumford. He was the founder of Boulevard Auto Sales.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jeanenne Mumford of Goldsboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pat and Ricky White of Faison and Connie Myers of Midlothian, Va.; one sister, Nan Fields of Kenly; six grandchildren, Chris White, Patrick White, David Myers, Aaron White, John Myers and Danielle Thibodeau; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence.
