CLARA KORNEGAY

MAGNOLIA -- Clara Mae Foss Kornegay, 82, of 421 South Monk St., died Friday at Duplin General Hospital.

A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The Rev. Asa Lee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Devotional Gardens at Warsaw.

She was the daughter of the late Clyde & Carrie Spence Foss, and was a member of Fellowship Church of God of Rose Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Major Kornegay of the home; five daughters, Lucille Harrell of Magnolia, Clara Brown of Warsaw, Annie Ruth Hall of Rose Hill, Teresa Harper of Jensen Beach, Fla., Joyce Outlaw of Warsaw; six sons, Major Allen Kornegay of Warsaw, Melvin James Kornegay of Clinton, David Ray Kornegay of Magnolia, Johnny Kornegay of Warsaw, Ronnie Kornegay of Rose Hill, Leon Joseph Kornegay of Rose Hill; sister, Eula Mae Pierce of Leland; 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons William Earl Kornegay, Roy Lee Kornegay, and Florene Kornegay.

The family will receive friends at the Tyndall Funeral Home this evening from 7 until 9, and other times at the home.
