WARSAW -- Jessie Best, 84, of 503 W. Hill St., died Tuesday at Duplin General Hospital.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw. The Rev. Tommy Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Cobb Cemetery in Faison.

Mr. Best was a native of Duplin County and was the son of the late Howard and Easter Best and the widower of Helen Best.

He is survived by one daughter, Daisy Mae Smith of Warsaw; two sisters, Juanita Herring of Warsaw and Sarah Spencer of Jacksonville; two brothers, Alvester Best and Norman Best of Warsaw; and 11 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives may call today from 3 until 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw.

The funeral procession will line up at 1:30 on Saturday afternoon at the residence at 503 W. Hill St., Warsaw.
