OMAR BYRD
The funeral for Omar Byrd, 23, will be held Saturday at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Joe Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery, Kinston. He died Sunday.
Survivors include his mother, Pamela H. Byrd of the home; his father, Floyd Byrd of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, Corey A. Harris of the home; his grandmother, Bernice Byrd of Rock Hill, S.C.; two aunts, Alma H. Grays of Cambria Heights, N.Y., and Ruth Byrd of Rock Hill, S.C.; three great aunts, Lynnetta B. Fields, Theresa B. Redding (Johnnie), and Fannie B. Smith (Leo), all of Kinston; two great-uncles, James Davis of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Harrie L. Baker (Johnnie Mae) of Kinston; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The viewing hours will be from 1 until 6 today at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
