C.D. PATE

Coor "C.D." Pate, 68, of 310 Nelson Drive, died Wednesday morning at his home.

The funeral will be held today at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Whiteside and the Rev. Rudolph Rowe officiating. Interment will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Pate was born in Mount Olive and was the son of the late Robert Leslie Pate Jr. and Bettie Vernon Pate. He retired as parts manager with Advantage Auto Parts, was a member of Bear Marsh Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Olive, and attended the First Baptist Church in Pikeville.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Basden Pate; one son, Corbett Pate of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Christina McKamey, Samantha Pate and Jordan Pate; and one great-grandchild, Ainsley McKamey.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Bland, and a brother, Edison Pate.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service tonight, and other times at the residence.
