MILDRED M. HOWELL
The funeral for Mildred Moore Howell, 89, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Howell was a native of Wayne County and was living in New Port Richey, Fla. She died Wednesday at West Pasco Hospice Care Center.
She was the daughter of the late Edward Matthew Moore and Sallie Mae Watson Moore and was married to the late Lester H. Howell. While living in Goldsboro, she had been very active in the Wayne County Republican Party.
Mrs. Howell is survived by one son, Lester "Les" Howell of Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Jo Ann Davy and husband Bob of Pikeville; one brother, Jack Moore and wife Vennie Lee of Goldsboro; and one granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Howell.
The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
