EMILY PATE

MAGNOLIA -- Emily Estelle Quinn Pate, 69, died Thursday at Wake Med. in Raleigh.

Born August 21, 1935 to the late Robert Quinn and wife Emily Rogers Quinn, of Duplin County, Mrs. Pate was the widow of Robert George Steven Pate.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Quinn and Herbert Lee Quinn; and one sister, Nettie Katherine Quinn.

Mrs. Pate is survived by two sons, Robbie Pate and wife Debra of Warsaw, Ronnie Pate and wife Diane of Magnolia; two daughters, Becky Cavenaugh of Wallace, Gail Arnette and husband Thomas of Rose Hill; two brothers, J.D. Quinn and wife Kathy, and Wayne Quinn and wife Carolyn, all of Magnolia; three sisters, Swannie Hudson and husband William of Turkey, Ruth Mozingo of Hope Mills, and Mable Mann of Florida; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one very special great-grandchild on the way.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Community Chapel at Community Funeral Home, 306 N. Sycamore St., Rose Hill. Burial will follow at 3:45 p.m. at Pate Family Cemetery, Summerlin Crossroads, Mount Olive.

A visitation was held Saturday evening from 7 until 9 at Community Funeral Home of Rose Hill. Family and friends will be received at other times at the Pate family home, 311 Isham Frederick Road, Magnolia.
