ZELMA GODWIN POPE
KENLY -- Zelma Godwin Pope, 98, of 744 Zelma Road, died Saturday morning at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her husband, Henry T. Pope Sr.; one son, Donald N. Pope; and one granddaughter.
She is survived by three daughters, Emily P. Holloman of Wilson, Marvene P. Creech of Selma, and Christine Woodard of Kenly; two sons, Bobby Pope and Henry Thomas Pope Jr. both of Kenly; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this evening from 7 until 9 at Coley Funeral Home in Kenly.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to North Johnston EMS or to Holly Springs FWB Church Building Fund c/o Benny Creech, 880 Beulahtown Road, Kenly, N.C., 27542.
