IRIS O. MOZINGO

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Iris Estelle "Teat" Outlaw Mozingo, 89, died Saturday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

A native of Jones County, Mrs. Mozingo was the daughter of the late Joseph W. Outlaw and Mollie Stroud Outlaw and was the widow of Delmar Frank Mozingo. She was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church and the Bessie Barwick Sunday School Class.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday from Pinelawn Memorial Park with the Reverends Ashley Summerlin and Norman Boyette officiating.

Mrs. Mozingo is survived by one son, Bobby Mozingo and wife, Karen of Seven Springs; 11 grandchildren, Mary Bates, Les Grady, William Mozingo Jr., Robert Mozingo Jr., Dawn Sutton, Karen Byrd, Francis Pollard, Carl Grady, Randall Grady, Richard Mozingo and Jennifer Hill; eight sisters, Lilly Rae Hill of Lynchburg, Va., Bessie Weeks of Seven Springs, Katheline McDaniel of La Grange, Bonnie Jo Carter of Kinston, Arlene Baker of La Grange, Doris Harrison of La Grange, Rachel Spann of Trenton and Ann Honeycutt of Seven Springs; two brothers, Eddie Outlaw of Kinston and Dennis Outlaw of Goldsboro; 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mozingo was preceded in death by three sons, Thomas Grady, Ray Grady and William Mozingo; one grandson, Douglas Mozingo; and one brother, Joseph Outlaw Jr.

Memorials may be made to Seven Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 55, Seven Springs, N.C., 28578.

The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Bobby Mozingo, 100 Main St., Seven Springs.

Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
