DWIGHT PAUL HOWELL

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Dwight Paul Howell, 58, died Friday afternoon in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington.

Born December 18, 1946 in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Floyd R. and Rosa Lee Howell. Mr. Howell was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and a Commercial Airline Pilot for many years.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Percy Coleman officiating.

He is survived by his sister, Thelma Howell Peedin of Princeton; three brothers, Worth Howell and Guy Howell, both of Wilmington, and Stacy Howell of Kenly.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7 until 9 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, N.C., 28401.
