ALFONZO BEST

The funeral for Alfonzo Best, 74, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the Best Family Cemetery.

Mr. Best died Monday at his home at 309 Tulls Alley in Kinston.

He is survived by his wife, Annie W. Best of the home; two daughters, Angela Best of Kinston and Aldora Rowley of Michigan City, Ind.; one son Alfonzo Best Jr. of Richmond, Va.; five brothers, James Best of Goldsboro, Houston Best of Jacksonville, Ralph Best of Mount Olive, J. Paul Best of Gary, Ind., and Theodric Best of Charlotte Hall, Md.; two sisters, Ernestine Thompson of Washington, D.C., and Evelyn Paraish of Milford, Del.; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visiting hours will be from 3 until 8 today at Albritton-Carraway Funeral Home in Kinston.
