IRENE L. BAKER

FREMONT -- Irene Lucille Daley Baker, 74, of 918 Memorial Church Road, died Friday at her home.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Pastor Don Sauls will officiate.

Mrs. Baker was born in Chautauqua, N.Y., was the daughter of the late Egbert and Myrtle Thompson Daley and was married to Richard William Baker. She was a member and former treasurer of Glenwood Park Civic Center.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Daniel Wickman of Virginia Beach, Va.; four daughters, Sharon Hitchcock of Falconer, N.Y., Melody Ahlbin of Jamestown, N.Y., Holly Hill of Goldsboro and Kim Dudley of Pikeville; one sister, Verlah Daley of Panama, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service until 5 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and from 6 until 7 p.m.. at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Doug Hill, 102 Lane Ridge Drive, Goldsboro.

The family requests that memorial gifts be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, Ga., 30368-2454; or to the Boy Scouts of America, Tuscarora Council, 316 E. Walnut Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
