WINNIE RUTH DAVIS
FREMONT -- Winnie Ruth Davis Davis, 86, died Monday night at her home, March 14, 2005.
Mrs. Davis was a graduate of East Carolina University and an elementary school teacher for 38 years in Currituck and Wilson counties.
She was the widow of J. Braxton Davis and a daughter of the late Grover and Pearl Davis. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Fitzgerald and Hazel McPhail and a brother, Winston Davis.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Fremont United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends afterward in the Fellowship Hall.
She is survived by a daughter, Winnie Sue Sasser (Sam) of Fremont, a grandson, Grant Sasser, and a brother, Bobby Davis of Buford, Ga.
