ELIZABETH S. COTTON

Elizabeth Summerlin Cotton, age 90, formerly of Grantham School Road, Mount Olive, and Lawndale Assisted Living Home in Garner, died Monday at Laurels of Forest Glen.

Born in Mount Olive, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Nettie Smith Summerlin and was married to the late James Robie Cotton. A homemaker, she was a member of Falling Creek United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women Society and the Adult Sunday School Class.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Langston officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Annette Pate of Garner and Carolyn Faye Falcone of Conyers, Ga.; one son, James Robie Cotton of Garner; five grandchildren, one step-grandchild, seven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Smith Summerlin.

The family will greet friends Wednesday night from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
