William Linwood "Bill" Flora, 64, of 605 Park Ave., died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Flora was born on Aug. 4, 1940, to the late William M. and Rachel D. Flora. He worked with Seaboard Coastline Railroad and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retired correctional officer with the North Carolina State Department of Corrections and was also retired from the Goldsboro Police Department.

He is survived by his wife of 42 1/2 years, Beverly Carmack Flora; two daughters, Tammy Nash of Newport and Cindy Cain of Goldsboro; his granddaughters, Candyce Godwin, Hanna Cain and Olivia Nash; his sisters, Nancy F. Harrell and husband Don of Rosewood, Mahala F. Kriger and husband Ray of Dudley and Jan Cox and husband Alton of Grantham; and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church for the Honor the Dream Program, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service on Tuesday, and other times at the home.

Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home.
