Bobbie Hester Patterson, 66, of 102 Butler Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. Johnny Sasser will be officiating.

Mrs. Patterson was born in Wayne County to the late Bernice Luby and Hettie Hayes Hester and was married to the late Curtis Patterson. She was a newspaper carrier for the Goldsboro News-Argus for 24 years.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Luby Don Hester, and two sisters, Anice Wallace and Genevieve Morrison.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Teressa Dauphinais of Goldsboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Caperse Edgerton of Goldsboro, Debbie Hollowell and fiancé, Junior Lawhorn of Goldsboro; Joyce and Stuart Craft of Goldsboro and Teresa and David Williams of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Ashlee Pearce, Leslie Pearce and fiancee Teresa White, Milford "Pete" Hollowell, Becky Tilley and husband Bill, Scotty Williams, Matthew Craft, Jason Craft and wife Kristin, and Stephanie Craft; great-grandchildren, Holly Price and Makayla Craft; brothers-in-law, Clem Wallace of Goldsboro and Ed Morrison of Goldsboro; sister-in-law, Shirley Hester of Rockingham; niece and nephews, Luby Hester, Jr., Donna Collins and Derek Morrison; and several great-nieces and nephews.

The family will be receive friends Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
