MYRTIE P. ROUSE
MOUNT OLIVE -- Myrtie P. Rouse, 91, died Saturday in Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was the daughter of the late Jepsey and India Blake Pickett, and widow of the late Claude Rouse.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Darwin Carol Rouse, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son, Randy Rouse of Calypso; two daughters, Arwilda R. Pate, Claudette R. Shelton and husband, David of Mount Olive; one sister, India Rouse of Florida; one half-brother, Jepsey Pickett Jr. of Kinston; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday evening at 7 in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Whiteside will officiate.
The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service. A private burial will be held Tuesday in Calypso Cemetery.
