BRIAN K. HARRIS
Brian Keith Harris, 34, of LaGrange, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 21, after an extended bout with cancer.
Brian lived in LaGrange with his parents. He graduated from Wayne Christian School in 1988 and then completed a degree in electrical engineering, graduating with honors from North Carolina State University. He obtained his master's degree in business management from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Before returning to LaGrange, he was employed with the Associated Press in Atlanta, Georgia. He was currently teaching at Wayne Christian School.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church in LaGrange, which he dearly loved. There he was able to use one of his many, many talents serving as church pianist and playing music that praised his Lord.
He has touched all with whom he came in contact and will be greatly missed.
A sister, Rhonda Kay Harris, preceded Brian in death.
He is survived by his parents, James "Jim" and Pat Harris of LaGrange; a brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Lisa Harris of Kenly; a nephew, Stuart Harris, and a niece, Taylor Gorwich, also of Kenly.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, with visitation to follow.
Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, at Oakdale Cemetery, Spring Hope, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wayne Christian School, 1201 Patetown Road, Goldsboro, N.C.
